The Niassa health sector needs 470 million meticais to refurbish the Cuamba Rural and Lichinga Provincial hospitals, where rehabilitation works have been on hold since last year owing to lack of money.
Work at Cuamba Rural Hospital includes increasing the number of consulting rooms from two to nine and expanding the operating suite and the morgue. At Lichinga Provincial Hospital, improvements consist of the expansion and construction of new wards.
