Doctors at Mozambique's largest hospital give the government 30 days to avert strike

The 2021 academic year may not include evening courses, and some subjects may not be available, according to a proposal to adjust the school calendar from the Ministry of Education and Human Development, Rádio Moçambique reports.
The document indicates that classes, lasting around 33 weeks in total, may take place in three quarters, as follows.
First quarter: March 22 to June 11 (12 weeks);
Second quarter: June 21st to September 3rd (11 weeks);
Third and final quarter: September 13 to November 19 (10 weeks).
This means that the school year will have 33 wees [five less than it would normally have].
The Minister of Education and Human Development document says that, in primary education, Physical Education, Crafts, Music Education and English courses may be suspended.
In secondary education, Notions of Entrepreneurship, Agriculture and Livestock, Information and Communication Technologies, Tourism, Introduction to Psychopedagogy, Performing Arts and Physical Education courses may be suspended.
In relation to the evening course, the Ministry of Education’s proposal is that students may attend the ‘Ensino à Distância’ [‘Distance Learning‘] , because of the difficulties in providing evening courses.
