Twenty days after the kidnapping of the patron of the Rizwan Adatia foundation in Maputo province, there are still no clues as to the outlines of the case, Radio Mozambique reports today (Tuesday 19-05).
Rizwan Adatia was dragged from his vehicle by four armed men in Matola’s Fomento neighbourhood on April 30
Maputo provincial chief prosecutor Evelina Gomane admitted that there were still no clues as to his fate.
“We visited the location and performed preliminary steps to locate him and track the route that the vehicle might have taken, using eye-witness testimony, but we lost track of them. We are continuing with follow-up investigation techniques to discover any sign of the victim,” she said.
Gomane said that the Rizwan Adatia family had not as yet been contacted by the kidnappers.
