Mozambique: Military admit running over young woman in election protests in Maputo

The Council of Ministers of Mozambique announced Tuesday (07.01.20) in Maputo that 12 heads of state have confirmed their presence at the inauguration ceremony of the country’s re-elected president, Filipe Nyusi.
More than 3,000, including delegates and envoys from home and abroad, will participate in the event scheduled to take place on January 15th, according to Ana Comoana, spokesperson for the Council of Ministers.
“About six international and business organizations have confirmed participation,” said the spokesperson.
Nyusi was reelected for a second term as the president in the October elections by winning 73 percent of the votes.
