The Iranian embassy in South Africa has announced that 10 Iranian sailors who were arrested by the Mozambican police 18 months ago were released.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in South Africa announced on Wednesday that, after months of legal, judicial, and political efforts and follow-ups, 10 Iranian sailors have been released and have returned to the country.
The sailors were arrested 18 months ago for illegally entering the coastal waters of Mozambique, the Embassy added.
