XIQUITSI – Classical Music Season III
Since 2005, Kulungwana has organised eight editions of the Maputo International Music Festival. Classical music and acoustic jazz were the privileged musical genres.
Between 2005 and 2012, the festivals that brought together international and national musicians allowed an important exchange and created the opportunity for young audiences in particular to get to know a musical genre and instruments less widespread in Mozambique.
The reception of the public and students has been very positive and the requests to promote this type of event throughout the year have been growing.
This year-round the culture will be celebrated on December 9th and 10th at the Church of Santo António da Polana and Cinema Theater Scala respectively.
