About Armando Artur
Armando Artur João is a Mozambican poet born on the 28th of December 1962 at Alto Molócuè in Zambézia.
He is a founding member of the Pan-African Writers Association (PAWA), of which he is representative for Mozambique. He was Secretary General of the Association of Mozambican Writers. After having been Vice-President of the Bibliographic Fund of the Portuguese Language, he also held the position of Minister of Culture of Mozambique. He has scattered work in literary magazines, textbooks, anthologies and local newspapers.
