Tito Paris and band
Tito Paris is a Cape Verdean musician, composer and singer, born on May 30, 1963, in the city of Mindelo, on the island of São Vicente. Based in Lisbon, he is one of the responsible for the dissemination of the music of the islands of Morabeza around the world as well as a prominent figure of the African community in the capital.
Born into a family with many elements dedicated in some way to music, he soon began sneaking around the bars of his hometown in search of this. He learned the first guitar chords with his sister. He played with his brothers and cousin Bau, who would also become famous. He was influenced by musicians such as clarinettist Luis Morais and pianist Chico Serra.
He released and produced his first album in 1987, an instrumental work that gives prominence to his virtuosity as a guitarist. Later, he formed a group of his own, with which he recorded the album "Dança Ma Mi criola". In 1996, he released the album "Graça de Tchega". He later released two live works and in 2002, a new studio called "Guilhermina". His works are on sale around the world, from New York to Paris, promoting the music of Cape Verde and his talent as an instrumentalist and singer.
