About Tchakaze
Real name Teresa Rangel Semende, Tchakaze was born in May 1990 in Maputo. She grew up in the Malhazine neighbourhood. She has always enjoyed singing and was part of the choir group at The United Methodist Church, where she is a believer. At the age of 17, for the first time, she had the privilege of taking the stage as a chorus of musician Peny Peny, in the company of sisters Belita and Domingas together with the band Omba Mô. She remained with this band for some time, as a chorist for various Mozambican artists until she began to professionalize her career. This dream began in the band Tangalane, where she was lead singer until the end of 2010. In 2014, she joined the Good Sound Industry (IBS), where she recorded her first solo song “Nkata”. Soon after, she released the song “Donguissa”, which won her two awards: Best Song for 99FM and Feminine Revelation at Ngoma. (Source: http://alternativoarte.blogspot.com)
