Joaquim da Silva was born with an artistic talent, wasted thinking that with the arts would not go far. He managed, at the expense of his name in the arts, to be an accountant at many state-owned companies, even landing a job at the Ministry of Health as head of drug stores. The power corrupted him and, not resisting the temptation of the curves of a small kitchen, sold the flat that he won from APIE without saying anything to his family, who suddenly found himself in the open.
Today, relegated to the morgue because of theft of medicines to fuel the illicit business in the corner markets, Joaquim da Silva is married to a younger girl, with intervals of mental disturbances caused by a past of violence and sexual abuse, practiced by his father.
