Ngilina, a 24-year-old girl, summons her psychologist to inquire about her life. She was a victim of the tradition, had a lobolo (an African tradional wedding) at age 16, and after having suffered several rapes by her husband, a man the same age as her father, she decided to run away from home and become a prostitute, in principle to survive and then gather money in order to return the lobolo, which makes her stuck to her past.
"Ngilina Da Zona", a show inspired by the story "Ngilina, Tu Vai Morrer" (Ngilina, you will die) by the Mozambican writer Suleiman Cassamo, was presented at Centro Cultural Brasil Moçambique on the 8th of March.
