Mozambique: ENI Open Day
The art of words
The Art of the Word is the theme of the 30th Course of Literature in Portuguese Language
The Literature Course is the oldest cultural initiative of Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo, held in partnership with the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of Eduardo Mondlane University, which in previous editions brought to Maputo authors such as José Saramago and Lídia Jorge, or more recently José Luís Peixoto, Afonso Cruz, David Machado and Pedro Mexia.
The 30th edition of the Portuguese Language Literature Course highlights the multiplicity of the word in the different literary aspects, highlighting four main themes: "writing and travel"; the "literary narrative", the "theater" and "poetry". For this edition of the Literature Course, Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo invited Alexandra Lucas Coelho, a Portuguese writer and journalist.
On September 10, to open the course program, Alexandra Lucas Coelho will share her travel writing experience. The following day, September 11, will be dedicated to the narrative, with presentations by the writer and professors of the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences (FLCS) of UEM, Lucílio Manjate and Osvaldo Neves and the guest, Alexandra Lucas Coelho. This session will be moderated by journalist Eduardo Quive. A discussion on the relationship between literature and theater will be held on 12 September, led by the head of the ULC FLCS Literature Department, Elídio Nhamona, and by the director and writer Rogério Manjate, a teacher at the School of Communication and Arts of UEM.
