Texito Langa
Texito Langa, is a professional musician, drummer-composer-producer, and arranger. Band Leader, Musical Director, Visual Artist, and Web Developer. Founder and CEO of the Ancient Root Lab Productions Company.
Acclaimed one of Mozambique's top drummers, Texito's versatility knows no boundaries. He has done a lot of remarkable works, nationally and internationally, working with musicians, poets, choreographers, sound healers and bands from different walks and backgrounds.
He is currently the Musical and Artistic Director for Tp50, a Maputo based cultural grouping composed of artists of different expressions such as music, dance, theatre, photography, which performs thematic shows that integrate the various arts for the dissemination of human values and artistic qualities, through tributes to ideas and people socially exemplary.
He also leads and directs Banda Elástica, a four-piece band that backs Hip-Hop group DRP and Cortadores de Lenha the band behind iconic Hip Hop artist Azagaia.
Besides working with different projects, musicians, artists and bands, Texito leads two of his own personal projects, namely, Mighty Vibration, a Reggae Music project with its focus on spiritual messages and innerstanding featuring his vocals, and a World Music/Afro-Jazz project under his own name where his drumming is the main feature.
Currently working on albums of both projects. Mighty Vibration has already one album available entitled introspective and can be found online in all the digital music stores including the Ancient Root Lab Productions music store.
