Sunday Nood is a series by Hugo Mendes also known as "Psiconautah", and represents for him, above all, works of a love story. The languid and long Sundays spent with little clothes, curled up on bedsheets as was "her" will, brought the motivation for the artist to create images of relaxed sensuality, encapsulated in comics, to be seen as an emotional voyeuristic trip, trying to recreate the sensations dyeing the paper with ink-of-china.
For this series N.O.O.D will also be the acronym for "new object of desire" which reveals a secret message and artistically reflects the "desired" natural sensuality of female privacy.
Hugo Mendes is a Mozambican artist who produces sculptures or three-dimensional objects made from varied techniques and materials, some using ready-made objects, others handmade objects.
