RENMOZ 2025: 4th Business Conference Renewables in Mozambique
- Having established itself as the biggest conference in the sector in Mozambique in 2023, RENMOZ 2025 will be the meeting point for the main national and international stakeholders and experts in the Mozambican renewable energy market. This event will share the latest developments and investment opportunities in the sector.
- In the wake of COP29, where a new climate finance agreement is expected, RENMOZ 2025 will emphasize the implementation and financing of the Energy Transition Strategy, approved last year by the Mozambican government.
RENMOZ – Renewable Business Conference in Mozambique returns to Maputo on 23rd and 24th April 2025 for its 4th edition. The event, which aims to promote a sustainable future and opportunities to accelerate the energy transition in Mozambique, is organized by Lusophone Renewable Energy Association (ALER) and Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER), with the support of GET.invest Mozambique (funded by the European Union and Germany and part of the European GET.invest program), the Embassy of Sweden and Africa Energy Challenge Fund (AECF).
Under the central theme “Mozambique’s Energy Transition,” the conference will bring together business leaders, government authorities, experts and international investors to discuss the next steps in the adoption and expansion of renewable energies. One of the main highlights will be the official presentation of Mozambique’s Energy Transition Strategy, focusing on the country’s climate commitments, climate change mitigation solutions and innovative financing mechanisms.
“RENMOZ 2025 is a fundamental and strategic forum for Mozambique, where we translate the national commitment to the energy transition into concrete actions and real opportunities. It is a privileged space to establish constructive dialogues between the public and private sectors and international partners, promoting the cooperation needed to achieve the goals and commitments Mozambique has made on the international stage. This is also the time to affirm our position as a country, showing that we are active protagonists of a sustainable, inclusive energy agenda geared towards economic and social growth,” said Ricardo Pereira, President of AMER.
The conference will also address key topics such as the development of a modern energy system based on renewable energy sources, investment opportunities in green industrialization, the adoption of clean energies in the transport sector, and initiatives to guarantee universal access to modern energies, reinforcing the importance of the energy transition for Mozambique’s sustainable development.
According to Mayra Pereira, President of ALER, “RENMOZ 2025 is much more than an annual meeting: it is our collective commitment to affirm Mozambique as a central axis and catalyst for renewable energies in the region, creating strategic bridges that link national challenges to regional and international opportunities. One of the most eagerly awaited moments will be the launch of the 4th edition of “Briefing: Renewables in Mozambique 2024”, which offers a comprehensive analysis of the evolution of the renewable energy market in the country, presenting up-to-date data, trends and opportunities in the sector.
RENMOZ 2025 will also be an ideal environment for establishing strategic connections and fostering productive dialogues between investors, partners and industry experts, through special sessions designed to boost real business and cooperation opportunities.
