Painting workshop for children, with João Fornasini
The renowned plastic artist João Fornasini will give a workshop for children, on May 26 from 10 am to noon. The workshop takes place within the framework of the exhibition "Olhares de Mim", which is open until June 2 at the Portinari gallery of Centro Cultural Brasil-Moçambique. Fornasini with the brushes and paints will paint and teach painting techniques to the children.
João Fornasini, born in 1960 in the city of Maputo, he began his activities as a plastic artist in 1996. Throughout his career he has had five solo exhibitions, namely Lost Gardens - at the Cats-Gardem Gallery in 1999, - Absences - at the Public Information Bureau in 2001, - Zandamela - at the Mozambican Photography Association in 2006 and - Other Venues - at the Camões Institute in 2011. Fornasini created his workshop "Valeiro artes" and became a member of Núcleo d'Arte. His sixth exhibition named Errantes, according to the author, has to do with the movements of animals, people and the biodiversity itself, since he is a lover of nature.
