About Mzwaa
Mzwaa is an artist from Manzini, eSwatini whose love for music was driven by the burning desire to bring hope and healing through singing.
He owns a band called The Natural Selection. His love for music was inspired by his parents who are avid lovers and collectors of music. His father exposed him to jazz music while his mother inspired him to listen to soul and RnB. He also draws his inspiration from artists such as James Brown, Michael Jackson and Sade.
His music is a cocktail of soul, funk and RnB with notable fragments of jazz and house. To date, he has worked with a host of local artists namely Gruv Basement, Czar and The Antidotes. Mzwaa has also worked with Pretoria-based house music sensation Ta-Ice as well as O'man Blues (formerly known as Mr O).
One of Mzwaa's greatest achievements was winning the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition which earned him a spot on the 2018 MTN Bushfire Festival line-up.
