Mozambique: ENI Open Day
Mozambican writer Lisié Champier to launch book: “Teresinha a life in Mozambique”
Teresinha Uma Vida in Mozambique, tells the story of Teresinha, a low-class Mozambican woman, guiding us through the mystique of Africa, her traditions, culture, the real and the fantastic. Teresinha is the mirror of reality in Mozambique, in its difficulties, struggles and the way it faces life. Teresinha is born in a small area in the center of Mozambique, daughter of João and Maria.
Teresinha's family moves to the capital, Maputo, where she lives a more agitated life and full of challenges to live. Teresinha has to help her parents in daily activities and sales, trying to reconcile with school and her childhood. It is not an easy life, but she smiles and accepts life as it is. As a teenager, Teresinha falls in love with José and, like her mother, gets pregnant before marriage.
Teresinha and José end up getting married and start a life together. Both mature and assume the responsibilities of managing the home, raising children and navigating the joys of life in Mozambique.
Lisié Champier is a Mozambican writer born in the city of Beira, Sofala province in the central part of Mozambique in 1984.
