Mozambican writer, Cri Essencia’s book launch: “In search of the right sea”
On October 31, at 5:00 p.m., the book "In Search of the Right Sea" by author Cri Essencia will be publicly presented at the Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo, with the seal of Alcance Editores. The launching session will be attended by the author and with the presentation of Cristiano Matsinhe, a professor at the Eduardo Mondlane University.
This book is the first publication of the author and describes the course of an illegal but well-behaved woman who, after the death of her mother, although she did not have the money to continue her studies, decided not to return to Mozambique. She preferred to sail through unknown tides in search of the highest peak in existence. She knew that returning home was necessary, but she intended to postpone such a return so that she would not have to confront her brother in the struggle for her mother's inheritance.
Cri Essencia was born in Maputo and studied at Francisco Manyanga High School. Jurist from the University of Lisbon and a Master's degree from the University of Groningen. She currently lives and works in London.
