About the event
Maputo Fast Forward (MFF) is an annual Festival of Art, Culture, Design, Innovation and Creativity. For this edition, which will take place from October 10th to November 10th, MFF aims to explore the theme “Life Design: Identity and Mobility in the 21st Century”. This year's theme is intended to discuss some of the paradoxes and challenges that affect contemporary societies.
In this perspective, the MFF opens registrations to the Masterclass of Digital Design, facilitated by António Jorge Gonçalves, author of graphic novels, political cartoon, and editorial illustration. He created a live drawing method through software that allows real-time projection of drawings over any space. Since 2003 he has performed in over 150 solo shows or co-creations with musicians, actors and dancers.
Masterclass aims to disseminate this method and the performative dynamics of digital design in real time, enabling participants to directly experiment with its possibilities, inspiring its use by others in other contexts. It is intended for digital artists, graphic designers, illustrators, animators, students, professionals and art lovers.
