Mozambique: ENI Open Day
Maputo Modja Matxakhosa (José Eugénio Cossa)
It is an exhibition that aims to bring elements of reflection around the experience and survival in the great urban center of Maputo where in the day to day many citizens "Modjam" life.
Modjar is an expression of the slang that emerged in the informal job market and has diverse senses, such as: calling clientele, battling and unleashing life. In this way the artist uses this reality as an opportunity to show it in works of art, as well as honoring all the Mozambicans who in an honest way work for a living.
Born in Maputo 1974, Matxakhosa studied at ISARC, where he studied Culture Management and Studies, and since 1996 has participated in numerous exhibitions and workshops in Plastic Arts (Ceramics and Painting), inside and outside of Mozambique.
