LGBTQIA+ Week
The first LGBTQIA+ Week in Maputo will take place from the 11th to the 15th of July 2022, financed by the Europe and Latin America Culture fund, AECID – Cooperación Española and EUNIC, collective of Cultural Centers of the European Union.
With the organization of the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Center, Spanish Cooperation, Mozambican-German Cultural Center, Embassy of Brazil, Camões – Portuguese Cultural Center, Embassy of Argentina, Embassy of Venezuela and Embassy of Italy, and the support of IVERCA and Mafalala Museum, the Week will feature a Cinema Cycle, debates and other cultural interventions in various places in the city of Maputo and access is completely free.
The program includes, among others, the presence of the Brazilian director Madiano Marcheti and the Mozambican actor and performer Yuck Miranda. The closing party will also feature Eat My Butterfly from Reunion Island and Dattie Capelli from South Africa.
