Launch of the book: Island of Mozambique an ambiguous legacy
CCFM will launch the book "Ilha de Moçambique, an ambiguous legacy" by Séverine Cachat, on Wednesday, September 5th.
The event is part of the bicentennial celebrations of Mozambique Island in September 2018 and is organized by the French Embassy in partnership with the Franco-Mozambican Association of Human and Social Sciences (AFRAMO) and the publisher Alcance.
Séverine Cachat is an anthropologist and Director of the House of World Cultures (Maison des Cultures du Monde) and the French Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage.
According to a statement from the CCFM, this is the sixth book in the series "Crossed sights France-Mozambique" launched in 2015 by the French Embassy in Mozambique, in partnership with AFRAMO to publish the works of French and Mozambican researchers on Mozambique and the Indian Ocean, in the context of collective or personal projects.
Séverine Cachat will carry out a book promotion tour through Mozambique, where he will give several lectures.
