KINANI BLOK PARTY
(Maputo's first official Block Party)
A music festival celebrating the seventh edition of the Kinani Festival of Contemporary Dance taking place this week in Maputo. Also, in the true spirit of occupying some of the incredible spaces that our city has to offer, this will be Maputo's first official Block Party, and it will happen in the abandoned building on the corner of Av. 24 de Julho and Av. Olof Palme, across from the Ministério do Interior, and very close to Centro Cultural Franco Moçambicano.
This Summer evening will be an audio visual celebration of Kinani and the city of Maputo. A tribute to this African city and to the ongoing struggle to create new and original concepts.
Live on stage you can catch Maputo darlings 340million, with their new audio-visual project. Headlining as well and hailing from South Africa, for the first time in Maputo, DJ Lag, who just recently made it onto the list of the world's hottest DJ's, with his unique brand of Dance music. Also on stage, TRKZ, one of the most interesting and exciting sounds to come out of Maputo, as well as A Million Things bringing his electronic touch and Teoria do Groove. Other surprise DJ's will be there to warm up the evening.
