International Seminar on the Closure of the CEP Program
Cidadania e Participação (CEP) is a social responsibility and empowerment program aimed at improving the quality of health and education services through greater citizen influence in policy formulation and management of public services. The program is implemented by a consortium led by COWI, started in 2013 and will end in December 2017.
To close its activities CEP will hold an international seminar on citizenship and participation: achievements and future agendas on December 6 and 7 at the Radisson Blu Hotel. The seminar sessions, in the morning, are open to the interested public.
The seminar will address topics such as implementation of social accountability programs; social inclusion and gender relations in social accountability processes; strategies to promote citizen engagement with public service providers; the role of community participation mechanisms in social accountability processes; training as a process of strengthening relational aspects, beyond the technical content; and the challenge of measuring the impact of social accountability initiatives.
