International Museum Day
In the context of International Museum Day (18 May), a presentation will be given on the theme "Conservation and Restoration of the Mural of Malangatana in the Museum of Natural History: intervention and criteria.
This presentation will be conducted by conservative Teresa Rodrigues following the conservation and restoration works currently taking place in the Mural "Man and Nature", of which she is responsible. The session will be attended by Mariana Camarate, also a conservative.
It will be an opportunity for students of visual arts and interested in the area of heritage preservation to know and discuss questions about the technique of execution, state of conservation, phases and intervention criteria of the mural in question.
Camões-Centro Cultural Português in Maputo supports this initiative and the works of conservation and restoration of the Mural "Man and Nature".
