About Hanwah
Hanwah is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter and producer from the UK. Her music can be categorized as electro acoustics but she draws on South African Jazz, Neo Soul, UK Prog Folk, Trip Hop and Electronica. Its eclectic mix of influence forms a unique sound, rich in vocal harmony and hypnotic grooves.
Hanwah is now promoting his message to a wider audience through his work entitled "The space where he is not." This work speaks of the self-validation of a feminine perspective, but within the discourse, "He" quickly became a metaphor for anything external that we, man and woman, seek for validation in itself. "Space" refers to a free state of the outer reward systems to which we are linked, and music tries to express this as much as possible. To explore this idea, Hanwah collaborated with several visual artists.
