About the event
As part of the Writer of the Month initiative, the Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo dedicates the month of March to the award - winning Portuguese writer Gonçalo M. Tavares.
In order to deepen the knowledge of the author's work, a session entitled "The Office of Literature", moderated by the academic Mário Forjaz Secca, will be held on March 26. The session will also include reading excerpts from the works of Lord Valery, Jerusalem and A Journey to India.
About Gonçalo M. Tavares
Gonçalo M. Tavares was born in Luanda in 1970 and teaches Theory of Science in Lisbon. Tavares has surprised his readers with the variety of books he has published since 2001 and has been awarded an impressive amount of national and international literary prizes in a very short time. In 2005 he won the José Saramago Prize for young writers under 35.
