About the event
Maputo Fast Forward (MFF) is an annual Festival of Art, Culture, Design, Innovation and Creativity. For this edition, which will take place from October 10th to November 10th, MFF aims to explore the theme “Life Design: Identity and Mobility in the 21st Century”. This year's theme is intended to discuss some of the paradoxes and challenges that affect contemporary societies.
From this point of view, MFF opens applications to Masterclass Film Editing facilitated by Khalid Samis, a director, screenwriter, editor and producer currently based in Cape Town (South Africa) where he founded Tuba Films.
Masterclass will be around production and editing processes focusing on the creation of documentary film stories. Aimed at young aspiring filmmakers, editors, and videographers in all its strands, the masterclass will also feature director Sara Gouveia (whose film The Sound of Masks will be screened during the MFF2019 film cycle) who will share her experience with post production and editing processes.
