Mozambique: ENI Open Day
Edmilson Mavie to launch book titled “The man who ate the hospital” @ FFLC
"Mavie is a storyteller. In this book he invites us to visit stories that reinvent the Mozambican social universe. All for Mavie are literary motifs: from hospitals, where desperately families await for news of the health of a loved one, to the director who clings to power, communication with ancestors, ghosts, mysteries of nature; the deaths that are projected in the day-to-day; the registration of dates that suggest us historical events, passing through blatant ones that happen in the suburban space until composing the text that gives title to this book O Homen que comeu o hospital (The man who ate the hospital). "- Mia Couto
This launching event will be led by Professor Maria Da Conceição Siopa who over the last few months accompanied the author in the production of this work that stands out for being daring and for its quality.
