‘Women Here and Now’ at the Brazil-Mozambique Cultural Centre in Maputo

Mariano Silva's new exhibition, "Danças Comigo?" ("Will you dance with me?"), brings together a collection of dance photographs seen through the unique lens of the Portuguese photographer, a resident in Mozambique since 2013.
"Mariano Silva has a special passion for contemporary dance and has documented all the main dance protagonists in Mozambique," the press release announcing the exhibition reads.
Mariano Silva was born in Elvas, Portugal, on April 5, 1976, and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra.
Photography has occupied most of his free time since 2008, and he became a full-fledged professional in 2016, when already residing in Mozambique.
As a professional photographer, Silva performs a multitude of roles for hisd clients, including corporate photography and video, field work and event coverage. His body of work has allowed him to acquire extensive professional experience in various sectors of photography and video.
"Will you dance with me?" will show at the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre until December 9th.
