About the Marthe le More
Photographer and director, born in 1979, Marthe Le More works between Maputo and Paris.
After a DEA in philosophy ("Identity and Otherness of African Philosophy" - University Paris X-Nanterre), she is trained in different shooting techniques.
From 2003, she directed a series of fiction devoted to the cities of Naples, Buenos Aires, Dakar, Rio de Janeiro, Pattaya and Maputo. She questions the theme of "forgotten anonymous" and gives the sound identity of these cities. Among his short films, several have been awarded, broadcast on television (Canal+, TV5 Monde) and in international festivals.
In 2006, Marthe Le More made her first documentary - and continues this form with different magazines, especially for France Télévisions, Canal+, TV5Monde and Arte. ("A book a day", "Invitation to travel"). She also produces advertising or institutional films in France and abroad.
As a photographer, she performs portraits and reports for publishing houses (Gallimard, Porte Plume). Periodically, she participates in exhibitions (Nuit Blanche in Paris in 2007, World Press in 2018 in Maputo) for her personal projects. These artistic works lead him to travel, to constantly watch the world in his movement, through artistic residencies (Senegal, Italy, Brazil among others).
In addition to her personal research, Marthe Le More devotes a large part of her time to transmission. She has conducted film and video workshops with children and adults: she collaborates on various artistic and educational projects with associations of popular education. Today she teaches philosophy, literature and cinema in Maputo, while continuing her work as a director and photographer (Source: http://www.marthelemore.com).
