About the documentary
An examination of the European vision of the refugee crisis in three acts: three groups of migrants are welcomed by a man who always takes a different attitude: rejection in the first part and full of empathy and goodwill in the second. In the latter part, it represents the Dutch asylum procedure, with all its complicated rules. Hendrikx shows where the dreams of refugees clash with reality and compel the viewer to think about their own position.
How human is it to categorize a human life? In the prologue and epilogue to this political and cinematographic essay, the absurdity of the dilemma is amplified.
