About the film
Ricardo Rangel, an 80-year-old photographer, is the living symbol of the generation that in the late 1940s began the first complaints against the colonial situation. While photographing the city of the “settlers,” Ricardo revealed the inhumanity and cruelty of colonialism. Since then, until the end of the post-independence civil war, Ricardo has photographed 60 years of Mozambique's history. In this movie, Ricardo leads us through his life and work, where the city of Maputo, bohemia and jazz have a special place.
