About the event
Rosa, a Mozambican peasant, is accused by her husband's family of having caused his suicide by refusing to obey him. She is suspected of having a "spirit husband". To prove her innocence, Rosa undergoes two trials: one by a traditional healer and the other in court. She is acquitted twice, and even so, the deceased's relatives continue to harass her and she is cruelly punished.
