The ethnographic films of the anthropologist Margot Dias will launch the 4th Edition of the Festival Root, where we bring to the public a program full of reflections and conversations about Tradition and its Transformations!
Synopsis:
The ethnographic work of Margot Dias, conducted in Angola and Mozambique between 1958 and 1961 in the context of the "Missions of Studies of Ethnic Minorities of the Portuguese Overseas", directed by Jorge Dias, is considered one of the first uses of the ethnographic film in the scope of Portuguese anthropology .
