Mozambique: ENI Open Day
Children’s theatre: Ant Juju and Butterfly Mwarusi
"Ant Juju and Butterfly Mwarusi" is part of the collection of children's tales by Cristiana Pereira, founder of Formiga Juju, a civic movement to promote reading and creative expression, with the mission of awakening the children's imagination through distribution free of books and construction of mobile bookshelves, so that the children become the creators of their own history.
This tale is the fourth book of the project and approaches in a light and metaphorical way, the drama of premature marriages and forced unions, a subject that in recent times has been very disturbing for the Mozambican society, because it puts at risk the future of an entire nation.
Mwarusi was a caterpillar who dreamed of being a butterfly and flying freely around the world, but sees her dream interrupted by a sparrow, the mustache, that forces her to marry him. To help solve this problem, we are all called and so it is up to the public to contribute ideas on how to prevent the mustache from violating Mwarusi's rights.
