About the event
The Cat and the Dark is a children's play adapted from the children's story adapted by the writer Mia Couto and is part of a collection of stories and myths of oral tradition that are recreated and illustrated by writers and painters of the country, with the aim of revealing the richness of the Mozambican imagination and bring it closer to its children in story format.
The black kitten was not always that color, it was yellow with pints, such that it was called Pintalgato. The sunset made the border between day and night, the mother of the kitten was distressed by day, only to think that her son passed beyond the setting of some sun. The son pretended to be obedient, but when the Pintalgato reached the boundary of the border, he would lurk the side of there, into the foreign forbidden world. His eyes shone so brightly, until one day he dared to turn completely to the other side, repeating for several days, until it turned into a black kitten.
