Business, Security and Human Rights Webinar on “Lessons learned, benefits and opportunities: Charting ways forward for Mozambique”
CDD will be hosting a Webinar that will discuss “Lessons learned, benefits, and opportunities: Charting ways forward for Mozambique”. This Webinar marks the final phase of the first three months of the project funded by the UK Government which aims to promote and facilitate the effective implementation of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights in Mozambique, focusing on Cabo Delgado Province.
The central objective of the project is to minimize the risk of human rights abuses and security-related incidents in the communities, as well as to promote transparency and good corporate social responsibility practices.
The Webinar will take place from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Thursday, March 25th, following the program bellow:
1. Introductions by Co-chairs: Adriano Nuvunga (Director CDD) and Colonel Omar Saranga (10 minutes):
Presenting international experiences and lessons learned of Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights implementation and multi-stakeholder processes.
2. The Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and best business practice for Mozambique (20 minutes):

Remarks on lessons learned from recent VP-related webinars and workshops in Mozambique and setting the conditions for future business and human right multi-stakeholder engagements.
