About Assa Matusse
Assa Matusse is a Mozambican singer and composer born in 1994. She comes from a family of 5 brothers and was raised in the humble neighborhood of Mavalane in Maputo. At age 15, she was the winner of the "Tribo Junior" TV competition for adolescents promoted by STV in partnership with the Gilberto Mendes Theater. In 2009, she was also invited to perform in the 50 years of LAM, sharing the stage with great musicians.
