Álvaro Taruma to launch his latest book titled: Matéria Para Um Grito
Camões - Portuguese Cultural Center in Maputo and Editora Cavalo do Mar are pleased to announce that Álvaro Taruma's book Matéria Para Um Grito will be presented on December 12, at 6:00 pm, at Camões - Centro Cultural Português, in Maputo. The launching session provides for a conversation with the author, moderated by the writers António Cabrita and Lucílio Manjate and also the participation of Giselle Genna in reading texts, and Muzila in music.
Álvaro Fausto Taruma is associated to the generation driven by the literary movements Kuphaluxa and the Literats Magazine, and that appears in the publishing market from 2014. With a markedly intimate writing, published "For A Cartography of the Night" in 2016, according to Revista Caliban it was considered the best first book of poetry by a Mozambican author.
In that same year he was also a finalist (honorable mention) of the prize 10 de Novembro, with the unpublished book "The Migration of the Trees". He holds a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the Pedagogical University in Maputo, currently teaching at the same time as an Advertising Creative, among other social entrepreneurship activities.
