“Arte Assinada no Feminino” at MUSART
“Almas Cruzadas” (Crossed souls) inaugurated at Kulungwana Gallery
The art exhibition entitled "Almas cruzadas" by Simões and Rob Van Doeselaar will be inaugurated on the last day of the current month, at 18h00, at Galeria Kulungwana, at Maputo Railway Station, where it will be open until June 29th 2018.
"Almas Cruzadas" is a combination of the Mozambican sculptor Simões and the Dutch painter Rob Van Doeselaar, as a result of the friendship and artistic coexistence that has established itself between the two artists in the last four years.
Simões got into art under the influence of the sculptor Alberto Chissano, having, throughout his career, worked with a wide range of other national and foreign artists.
Rob Van Doeselaar had as his first influences the great Dutch masters, later becoming interested in contemporary art. His painting is a compromise between two influences, in which strong and contrasting tones stand out, likely fruit of his long stay in Africa and Asia.
This exhibition allows art students, specialists and the general public to once again have access to the work of these two artists, united by bonds of friendship.
