About the workshop
Afro-Brazilian religions are a living example of the attempt to affirm a black identity in Brazil. The idea is to represent, deities of Afro-Brazilian religions, through the art and technique of drawing and painting. By presenting these deities, telling a little of their stories, the process of resistance for these religions to remain alive to this day. Soon after the participants with their look on each one of the deities will realize paintings, coloring and inserting local characteristics in the realized works.
