“Arte Assinada no Feminino” at MUSART
1st Night of poetry 2019 “On the road to the 1st International Poetry and Performative Arts Festival”
Nights of Poetry is already a tradition in the cultural programming of the capital of the country and intends to continue being a reference in 2019.
And to discuss the theme "The Artist's Mission" in what is the first Night of Poetry this year, the main guests are the writer Paulina Chiziane and the philosopher Severino Ngoenha who will join the ethnomusicologist Luka Mucavele and the poet Hirondina Joshua who is on the eve of her trip to Macau where she will take part in the Literary Festival Rota das Letras.
Perceiving the role and importance of the artist has never been so necessary as today, when the haste and mediatism that guide the arts seem to conceal their true essence and power.
In view of the various world events and, in particular, at national level, in all the contexts of our society, we intend to know the opinion of those who make art and with power to influence decisions and opinions. In fact, one of the powers of art is to humanize and establish dialogues, how does the Mozambican artist participate and influence the different phenomena and social dilemmas?
Thus, the philosopher, the writer, an ethnomusicologist and other participants, including the public will be called upon to intervene. This edition of Night of Poetry will take place on Friday, February 22nd, always in the CCMA - Cultural Center Mozambican-German.
Poetry Nights are an initiative of the Collective Poetas D'Alma in partnership with the CCMA and conjugate the celebration of the word with the passion for art in general.
