Lúrio University

The University was established in 2006, by order of the Council of Ministers, and began the installation process in 2007. At this stage were created some of the central services of the Rectory and his first college, the College of Health Sciences.
On June 29th of that year was held the Inaugural Ceremony of Lúrio University. This was presided over by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Armando Guebuza and attended, among other individuals, the Education Minister Aires Aly.
In its structure the Lúrio University predicted from the beginning the installation of three Poles located in the three northern provinces of Mozambique, namely: Niassa, Nampula and Cabo Delgado.
