National football coach Abel Xavier has announced the names of the 20 players lined up for Mozambique’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana.
The first of the confrontation’s two legs will be played in Accra on 23 March and the second three days later in Maputo.
The Mambas are currently in last place in Group H with no points after 1-0 losses against Rwanda and Mauritius in the first two rounds.
The players are:
Goalkeepers: Soarito (Ferroviario da Beira ) and Guirrugo (Maxaquene).
Defence: Clésio (Panetolikos) Zainadine (Tianjin Teda), Jeitoso (Ferroviario de Maputo.), Edmilson (Ferroviario de Maputo.) Macuapel (Uniao Desportiva do Songo) and Lolo (Estrela Vermelha).
Midfield; Jair (Fer. Maputo), Médijair (Ferroviario de Maputo), Geraldo (Liga Desportiva), Simao Mate (Levante), Jumisse (1 de Agosto), Gildo (Ferroviario da Beira), Geraldo (Liga Desportva), Witi (Nacional), Renildo (Benfica) and Diogo (Ferroviario de Maputo).
Forwards: Sonito (Liga Desportiva), Domingues (Bidvest), Pelembe (Bloemfontein) and Isac (Maxaquene).
