South Africa business activity rises for 4th straight month, PMI shows
Two Zambian ministers have reportedly quit government, accusing the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) party of “causing misery” to the people of the southern African country.
According to The Post Lusaka Province Minister, Obvious Mwaliteta and Justice Deputy Minister, Keith Mukata resigned from their positions, calling for an end to President Edgar Lungu’s governance.
Mutaka, moved to join the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND).
In his resignation letter, Mutaka said he could no longer enjoy the benefits of his position in the PF-led government while Zambians continued to wallow in poverty.
The development came as president Lungu’s ally Davis Chama, who is also the secretary general for the ruling party, recently took a swipe at the country’s politics, describing it as “full of lies and hate”.
“The politics of nowadays are of lies; every day they are politics of hate. There are people who are 24/7 creating [lies]…even today as I was coming, someone called me and told me a big lie about the president,” Chama was quoted as saying.
