Deputy Minister of Transport guarantees that there will be no price speculation

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Manuela Rebelo, has promised that there will be no speculative increase in inter-provincial transport prices over the festive season. Rebelo was speaking during a monitoring campaign at the Junta Interprovincial Bus Terminal in Maputo on Tuesday.
Controlling queues and overcrowding were the main problems detected at the terminal, but authorities admit that, despite the challenges, transporters were complying with most of their recommendations.
The deputy minister’s visit to Junta formed part of a monitoring campaign aimed at assessing the travelling conditions of passengers and impressing on carriers their responsibilities.
