Mozambique LNG project nears restart as HD Hyundai, Samsung await $20 billion carrier orders
Gaza and Inhambane provinces will get gas-generated electricity by the end of this year, and the assembly of energy production platforms at the power plant in Macarretane administrative post has already been completed.
The Macarretane power plant cost more than US$100 million, and was privately built with joint Mozambican and overseas funding.
The manager of the company responsible for the power plant, Pedro Manjate, said that the gas for the plant will come from the pipeline from Inhambane to South Africa, which passes through Macarretane.
