a) To administer higher education, within the field of education and social action, aiming at a professional with a high moral and ethical sense;
b) To elaborate research and study programs that provide subsidies for the solution of the ethical-moral problems of the communities;
c) To extend to the student community, in the form of courses, services, teaching, research and technology activities, enabling them to better enter the labor market;
d) To train qualified professionals in the performance of their functions in an efficient, creative, dynamic and proactive manner, always praising the ethical quality in their interventions;
e) To develop exchanges and cooperation with other scientific, higher education, cultural, national and foreign institutions, with a view to increasing the sciences, arts and letters;
f) To guide the student towards adequate professional integration, providing him with social and material assistance and complementing his moral and civic formation, so that he can intervene skillfully in the specific sector to which he will dedicate himself;
g) To train Educators and Social Action Agents, convinced of the value of the person, willing to defend their rights and able to be involved in the sublime task of elevating human dignity, accompanying others in their process of growth;
h) To seek a synthesis of knowledge in the constant search for truth, from the interdisciplinary dialogue to the openness to the absolute;
i) Produce different types of publications of cultural and scientific interest as a way of sharing knowledge.
